We are Rapid Restoration and Cleaning, your local restoration company serving the Roanoke Valley and Southeastern Virginia. Owner and Roanoke Rapids High School graduate (Class of 1988) Jeff Kloss moved to Atlanta, GA in 1993 to open a cleaning and restoration business with his father. Jeff has served for over 30 years in the restoration industry and has worked to restore homes and businesses at home and in communities across the US following storms such as Katrina, Super Storm Sandy, and Irene among others. He has worked to help clients such as the New Orleans Archdiocese, Keesler Air Force Base, and the world headquarters for both Home Depot and Rubber Made get back to business in the aftermath of disasters both large and small. 

While disasters like flood, fire, and storms are a big part of our business, one of Jeff’s most memorable projects involved the Macy’s Christmas tree. Macy’s at Lenox Mall in Atlanta, GA experienced a crane failure while removing the Christmas tree from the roof of their store. The crane bent in half and dropped the tree onto the roof, ripping a hole in the roof and severing multiple pipelines for the fire suppression system. The entire store flooded as a result. In Rapid Restoration fashion, Jeff was able to execute a restoration plan that not only allowed the store to be dried promptly, but also allowed it to remain open for business, all without inconveniencing shoppers with exposed drying equipment.
